A New Work Home

In late November, we moved into newly designed office space near the Colonnade. Our new spot—decorated with a nod to mid-century modern inspiration—allows our team to better accommodate our hybrid-remote work arrangements.

A (Mid-Century) Modern Take

“We’ve intentionally created larger and more open collaborative spaces, as well as small spaces like phone booths for personal calls,” said Kurt Close, president of Valent Group. “Team members who prefer to work primarily remote can easily use an app to reserve our café table, open offices/cubes or work benching spaces when they visit for meetings, while employees who prefer to work mainly from the office will have dedicated workspaces.

“It’s a win-win, with employees getting to own their work location as best fits their needs.”

The new office boasts full length glass walls and doors that align the hallways, conference rooms and offices. This allows for maximum light to filter through the office while opening up the entire space.

“Creating a modern space with advanced technology was one of our main goals, and we’ve succeeded,” added Close. “We’ve reduced our office footprint while also giving our team a place they can be proud to bring clients, guests and friends of the agency.”

A Space as Flexible as We Are Employees’ work phone numbers move with them from space to space so that they can access their calls regardless of where they dock for the day. The firm has also moved most files to paperless online storage-a huge accomplishment for any business.
