Brandon Mundie

Chief Financial Officer

Brandon works closely with our leadership team and all aspects of the agency—employee benefits, property and casualty and personal lines—to maintain financial and operational due diligence. With a background in mergers and acquisitions and banking, Brandon also leads the agency’s accounting team.

​Brandon joined Valent Group in the summer of 2016 to lead a new department focused on business development and growth through agency acquisition in partnership with EBSCO Capital at our parent company.

His role later expanded to supporting Valent’s five branch locations through strategic plans, growth initiatives, and staff management.

Today he continues to lead the sourcing, evaluating and executing of new investment and acquisition opportunities to facilitate agency expansion while also overseeing our finance team and responsibilities. In addition, he is heavily involved with the agency’s technology integration efforts and benefits operations.

Previously, Brandon served as Assistant Vice President of the Business Unit Controllers’ Group at Regions Financial Corporation. In this role, Brandon partnered with different groups within the Corporate Bank to help navigate and advise on significant bank transactions.

Prior to that, he worked with EY (formerly Ernst & Young) in assurance services.

Brandon is a CPA and attended Lipscomb University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and his Masters of Accountancy in just four and half years. He also played on the Collegiate Golf Team throughout his college career, captaining the Men’s team. He married his college sweetheart, Lillie, shortly after graduating, and they now have a three beautiful children.

Brandon is on the Junior Board for Smile-A-Mile, an organization that serves children of Alabama who are battle cancer and their families. He also is very active in his church, the Homewood Church of Christ, as a leader in the Foundation Ministry.
