Employers subject to EEO-1 reporting will need to submit Component 2 pay data to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) by September 30. According to a federal district court order today, the EEOC must collect two years of data and decide by May 3 whether to collect 2017 and 2018 pay data this year, or collect 2018 data this year and 2019 data in 2020.

The EEOC reported they will offer training and open the collection portal to employers by July 15.

Employers subject to EEO-1 reporting should:

  • Submit their 2018 EEO-1 Component 1 data by May 31, 2019;
  • Submit Component 2 information about their employees’ 2018 (and possibly 2017) pay and work hours by September 30, 2019; and
  • Monitor the EEOC’s website for additional guidance.
