Formerly S.S. Nesbitt Rebranding FAQ

S.S. Nesbitt & Co. Inc. (SSN) and EBSCO Industries, Inc. (EBSCO) announced today the appointment of Mike Roman as vice president of property and casualty sales operations.

Roman (right) is joining senior vice president of property and casualty (P&C) Allen Baker in supporting the P&C sales team and group practice. Roman’s primary focus will include the recruitment, onboarding and training, mentoring and management of producers across all agency branches. Additionally, he will serve as a senior insurance consultant for regional businesses while also providing all the agency’s clients with deep expertise on cyber liability and management liability.

“Mike’s insurance industry experience, combined with his intricate knowledge and understanding of cyber and management liability, is a rare and highly valuable asset for clients of a boutique agency such as SSN,” said Baker. “He’s already proving to be a great partner as we continue to distinguish our agency by bringing in the best resources and growing our P&C practice to reach additional clients who are looking for white-glove service and a consultative approach to insurance.”

Before joining SSN, Roman worked as senior vice president and client advocate at Willis Towers Watson (Willis), the third largest insurance brokerage in the world, where he spent nearly 14 years. Prior to his work in insurance, Roman was a pilot with American Airlines after a distinguished career as a naval aviator and electronic warfare mission commander with the U.S. Navy

“It’s thrilling to be a part of EBSCO’s insurance division and to contribute to the team in the areas of production, management and cyber liability,” said Roman. “The SSN team is truly special in terms of their commitment to client service and problem solving – two areas I will be highly focused on at the agency.”

“With EBSCO’s backing and leadership, SSN continues to provide our clients with the kind of resources expected from a big broker, combined with the high level of customer service they’ve come to expect from our team,” said Paul Barber, president of SSN. “I’m confident that our agency’s future is bright with Mike contributing to our success.”
