The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is distributing the COVID-19 vaccine according to their vaccination allocation plan that was approved by the CDC. Distribution of the vaccine is currently going to healthcare workers and residents of long term care facilities.

On January 18th, Alabama will begin moving into Phase 1b to provide the vaccine to people 75 years and older, and first responders. Persons in these groups can schedule an appointment with the ADPH by using the hotline at 1-855-566-5333. Telephone calls are answered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

The ADPH asks that you do not call the appointment line for a COVID-19 vaccination at this time if you do not qualify as a frontline healthcare worker, an essential worker at high risk for work related exposure or 75 years of age or older.
